Ouds by Roufan Nahhat

Roufan was the son of the elder George Nahhat and brother of the famous Abdo George Nahhat, with whom he partnered in the late 1800s to create many beautiful instruments under the label of Ikhwan (Brothers) Nahhat. It appears that sometime in the 1910s they each went their own way and continued making ouds under their own labels. Roufan's ouds are simple and beautiful, with very elegant lines and a single rose usually. Their sound is gorgeous, deep, "Eastern".
