George (Gorgy) was the son of Hanna Nahhat. He was born in the late 1890s and passed away in Syria in the 1960s. His ouds are of a great variety and tend to be more ornate and unusual than other Nahhat ouds. Farid el Attrash, the famous Oudist and Singer played George's ouds in many performances.
